A new structure was designed within the perimeter walls to support the new residential floors above and to brace the existing ground floor masonry walls.

The building’s structure comprised of a new steel structure and concrete deck above the garage level supporting a new stick built 4 story wood residential structure. The end result was a modern looking residential building which incorporated some of the features of the building which preceded it.

12 UNITS RESIDENTIAL PROJECT|JERSEY CITY HEIGHTS, NJ

This project consists of a 4 story Residential building approx. 50’ x 90’ in size containing 12 Residential Units. Residential Units are located above the ground floor parking garage. Residential units consisted of 1 and 2 bedroom units. The building is located in the Jersey City heights section of Jersey City.

The site was previously occupied by a 1 story historic building consisting of brick masonry perimeter walls and a ‘saw tooth’ roof line. We were required to keep the exterior walls and were allowed to modify the same to accommodate the building’s new use.
